The Erinvale Golf Club, at 7000 yards or 6400 metres for 18 holes, was designed by Gary Player and is one of the most prestigious golf courses in South Africa . At the foot of the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountains in Somerset West, lies this world-renowned course with its sweeping fairways, deep bunkers and cleverly placed water hazards. The trademark of this course is vast difference between the front 9 and the back 9. On the front nine, holes are mostly level with lots of water, but on the back nine you will hardly ever get a level lie. Truly one of the country's best courses.
