Hotel and Country Club
Since opening in 1991, Fancourt Hotel & Country Club Estate has established itself as one of South Africa's premier golfing spots, the product of its leisure resorts of championship proportions and immaculately maintained greens. With two 18-hole parkland courses The Outeniqua , that took shape under master golfer Gary Player, worldclass conditioning and a setting that takes in mountains, water and wildlife, there is nothing to beat a Fancourt round. Since golf at Fancourt is limited to members, their guest and hotel guests have ample time to play at their own pace and take in the golfing experience that is Fancourt |

| The
Fancourt Links Golf Course offers excellent facilities, generous kikuyu
fairways and fast bent grass greens. This golf course has some of the best
caddies in the country and the course has been said to be in the same league
as the famous Links courses in Scotland (Carnoustie, Muirfield and Troon).
The Links
at Fancourt, host to the President's Cup in November 2003, presents a
unique golfing experience in South Africa. This man-made links course
has achieved balance and harmony in terms of length, hazards and shot
value. While being a beautiful walking experience the Links is quite possibly
the most difficult course in South Africa. Carry more balls than usual
and be patient! The Links was never meant to be a low scoring, target
golf course. |

| The
Outeniqua Golf Course was named after the mountain range that runs along
the Garden Route coast. This parkland layout is not as popular as Montagu
and the Links but mainly due to aesthetics and nothing more. The Outenique
Golf Course takes in a setting of mountains, water and wildlife.
The Outeniqua
Golf Course is cleverly designed, picturesque and presents a challenge
to golfers of all levels. The Outeniqua short par-four 4ths will keep
big hitters guessing whether or not to go for it and face the risk of
the waterway that dominates the right side of the green and fairway, or
play it safe and lay-up! |
